Points of Note for Participating Teams in the Macao International Dragon Boat Races 2020

Organized by the Sports Bureau and the Dragon Boat Association of Macao, China, and co-organised by the Municipal Affairs Bureau and the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau, the Macao International Dragon Boat Races 2020 will be held on 20, 21 and 25 June at Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre.

The first registration phase of the Races has already concluded. The Organizing Committee reminds that registered teams should submit relevant information including the name list by 7 p.m. on 25 May. For any changes of team members, the application should been submitted between 26 and 29 May and late applications will not be accepted. The technical meeting and draw for local races will be held at 6:30 p.m. on 10 June (Wednesday) at the office of the Dragon Boat Association of Macao, China at Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre.

The Organizing Committee has arranged training sessions at Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre for participating teams. All teams must follow the measures and guidelines implemented by the organizers, and must undergo body temperature checks, present the ‘Macao Health Code’ and wear face masks upon entering the venue.

In compliance with anti-pandemic guidelines, this year the Organizing Committee will implement a series of preventive measures during the Races. During the preparation process, the Organizing Committee will also pay close attention to the latest information on the pandemic and develop appropriate measures and arrangements for the event accordingly.
