Health check-ups are conducted on the basis of physical fitness check-ups. They consist of four parts, including blood tests and special examinations of liver and kidney functions, blood glucose level, hepatitis B, haemoglobin and the number of red blood cells. Health check-ups generally commence four to six weeks prior to training. They primarily seek to determine the health condition of highly competitive athletes and eliminate all potential illness and injury. The best efforts are made to complete treatments and rehabilitation for ill or injured athletes in order that they can train in good health.
